Happy Thanksgiving!
If you haven’t tried it in a while, forget about finances and software and technology for a bit. Instead, focus on what matters this Thanksgiving Day. Enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday with family members and friends.
It’s easy for people to spend their lives so focused on getting ahead, “keeping up with the Joneses”, or trying to keep the wolves away from the door that they miss the important stuff in life.
Important stuff like holding a loved one’s hand, watching a child in the school Thanksgiving play, taking a family walk around the neighborhood and greeting neighbors, donating food to a shelter, taking good advantage of a “teachable moments” with a child, sharing the extra pumpkin pie with friends next door and eating a meal as a family.
Forget all of the comparisons this Thanksgiving. We all know optimists who see their glass as half full and pessimists who see it as half empty. Be a realist. “My glass has 3.5 inches of water in it and I am very thankful for all of it!”
