The Wheatworks’ tree is growing another branch! In addition to developing financial calculators for Windows, online financial calculators and calculators for promotional purposes, Wheatworks is currently designing a new web site for people who like financial software: FinancialShareware.com.

FinancialShareware.com is a download site dedicated to financial software offered on a “try-before-you-buy” basis.

In other words, it’s financial software from developers who encourage you to download their products and use them for a period of time to determine if they meet your needs. If a product solves your problem, purchase it. If not, search for another software solution that you may try before you buy. It’s a great concept!

FinancialShareware.com will allow you to browse financial software by category (for example, Accounting Software, Banking Software, Calculators, Financial Planning, Investment Software, etc.) or you may use the site’s search engine to find a product if you know what you are looking for.

Once the site is up and running, you’ll read about it here. Before it’s officially “live”, a few tweaks will be made to the database and then financial software developers who offer financial shareware will be invited to submit their products.
